
BELT PROMOTIONTerry was the first to bring Kickboxing to this region in the 1970’s. He was also first to offer a ladies Kickboxercise program. This class is a safe way to learn self defense, physical fitness, and great stress release. Terry’s boxing gym is the oldest operation in the Kentuckiana area that has hosted many champions. VOTED #1 IN KENTUCKIANARecently Terry Middleton's was voted #1 in the Kentuckiana area in the Martial Arts category. The contest was sponsored by local television station WLKY. Terry Middleton's is a four story Martial Arts school and is the only local school that offers Karate, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Mixed Martial Arts. Middleton's is one of the oldest and biggest Martial Arts school in the United States starting in 1972. Terry's school can offer tuition rates 1/2 to 1/3 of local financially struggling Karate shops and studios. Terry started Karate in 1968, earned his Black Belt in 1971, and is now an 8th degree Black Belt Grandmaster. Terry was inducted into the American Martial Arts Alliance Hall of Fame in 2007 and the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2008. Ron Sparks, who holds three Super Heavyweight MMA Belts was there signing autographs and posing for pictures.
